Canoe Race Sponsored by the KIWANIS CLUB OF MANCHESTER

Radio Amateur volunteers from the Chelsea Amateur Radio Club and the ARROW Communications Association of Ann Arbor, work together to provide radio communications for the canoe race.

At the Start line each contestant's canoe number and start time information is communicated via Amateur Radio to stations positioned along the course of the race.

At the Finish line the race officials use the start time and the finish time information to calculate the total time. The race contestant with the shortest course time wins.

Thanks to all the Radio Amateur volunteers for their help in the past and hope to see you back again in May.
